How you can help: There are variety of most deserving causes, schemes and projects that you can support to us. Listed are some Sneha’s initiatives. All your contributions howsoever big or small for either project specific or general purposes will be gratefully acknowledged. All the donors and sponsors will receive frequent updates on the progress of projects and annual project and financial reports so that they know exactly where their money was spent.

You may support:

1. Institution building: Sneha is a new and upcoming organization with self-motivated and dedicated team of workers. Our aim is to establish Sneha an institution of excellence free from bias, discrimination, corruption etc. It is said office is the nucleus of an organization. Sneha still does not have proper office and office facilities such as enough PCs, file cabinet etc. We often face difficulties even in paying the monthly rent of the office and purchase office stationeries etc. We are not able to pay adequate salaries to the existing staff in time.

So we need support for institution building to establish Sneha as an organization. We believe that we can make impact in the society particularly among the tribal and destitute in future.

We also need Corpus fund of the trust.

2. Project -1 Titled Confidence and Capacity Building of the Underprivileged Children through Education in Arunachal Pradesh.

1. Rs. 2 lacs or more to construct the school building for the underprivileged children;

2. Rs. 48,000 for teachers’ salaries of one teacher and Rs. 1, 90,000 for five teachers;

3. Rs. 1,000 for books and stationeries of one child and Rs. 5,000 for five children;

4. Rs. 1,200 to provide school uniforms and shoes to one child and Rs. 6,000 for five children.

5. Rs 100,000 to run the school such as administration and management for one year.

6. Rs.50, 000 or more to purchase good story books based on morals, ethics, principles, nationalism, service to humanity etc for the library to imbibe values among the children from childhood when their mind are still pliable.

7. Children do not get nutritious diet at home due to poverty. Rs. 30, 000 to provide mid day meals to 200 children. We propose to give our students a very nutritious health mix food supplement Sampoorna Poshak Biscuits supplied at cost by Dhana Foundation based in Vasai, Thane district of Maharashtra.

8. One time donation above Rs. 10,000 to purchase Musical instruments and Games and Sports materials for the children.

9. Rs. 5.5 Lacs to purchase a Jeep at project site in Arunachal Pradesh.

Scholarship Programme: Higher study

· Rs 48,000.00 for one student to pursue professional course like Medical, Engineering etc.

· Rs 18, 000 for one student to pursue general course like B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, M.A/M.Com, etc.

Annual scholarship in Lower Class in Arunachal Pradesh

· Rs. 1,500 for one child to provide books, stationeries etc.

· Rs. 4,500 for three children.

Computer Education:

· Rs. 6, 00,000.00 ($ 13000) to establish one computer Centre to provide basic and high level courses to the underprivileged students.

Health

· Rs. 2 lakhs to provide free medicine

· Rs 5.5 lakhs to purchase one mobile van

· Rs 6 lakhs to erect one Primary Health Centre

Adopt a Project - Take on the role of a leader by creating a small group of donors who could adopt a project. The group members could be family members, friends, colleagues, and business owners. As an example, building a primary school in a remote village costs $15000 - $20,000 which will cater education to 400 children.

Become a Fundraiser - We need money but more importantly we need your time, energy, and support by becoming a fundraiser for a specific project. For example, if you could send a solicitation letter to 20 people that you know, imagine the difference 20 willing people like yourself could make. We also want to hear your ideas for fundraising. Travel to Chakma Villages in Arunachal Pradesh, India - Are you planning go to Arunachal Pradesh? There are several ways you could help us.

1) Deliver medical and school supplies for us.

2) Help distribute the supplies in villages and make personal connections with people that we support.

Generate Publicity - Do you know or have a connection to someone in the news media? If so, please talk them into featuring a story about us. We have great stories about the projects, cultural tales, and people that we support. A feature story would help with our publicity needs and educate the public about Chakmas in general.
