Project-3

Scholarship Programme for the underprivileged
students of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Chakma and Hajong students cannot continue their studies after Class X or XII due to poverty. They cannot take admission in colleges and if they take also anyhow they cannot complete it as their parents cannot give them their educational expenses. Many brilliant students have to give-up their studies in the middle of their study. The most pitiable condition is found among the girls who are less privileged than the boys. Parents think that an expense for the education of girl is wastage of money.

Aims of the Project:

1. To help the Chakma and Hajong boys and girls get education and complete their higher study.

2. To reduce drop-out.

3. To build their capacity and confidence enabling them to get employment, etc. and go ahead in various spheres of life.

Beneficiaries:

100 Chakma and Hajong students.
